PLMC LGR AGO 19… I have had quite a few MCs, never one like this, 95 points - coffee, cream, floral, consistent to the end, perfect burn.

Toss up between a 2019 Lusi and a 2020 Connie A. Both were excellent but the latter more surprising since the Lusi is my favorite cigar overall.

SOU DIC 19, Mag 50, This way pure Cuban perfection. It was a touch richer than normal Mag 50’s and tons of twang with melon, apple notes. 97 pointer for sure.

I was out walking the dog and got stuck in a rain shower. Had a ‘23 N1 on the go and we both sat under a massive tree for a half hour until it passed. Great cigar. Perhaps not the best cigar of my month, but 100% the best cigar experience of my month. Smoked perfectly despite the summer rain and light wind. Typical profile of sweetness from the open.

23 N3 Carlotta - Not convinced these need as much rest as mentioned, going down a treat already.

They're beginning to be a beach staple, no worrying about whether it'll draw or if I should risk a £30/stick while the kids are about!

Had another one on the beach today as the sun went down, might be a contender for this month's top cigar already, the wife and friends even commented how good it smelt.

RG Corona Extra from 2001. Was surely the best for August. Wish they hadn’t discontinued.

That 2015 Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial was the star for the month, closely followed to the pre-release Bond Roberts 109.

#2 son married in a destination wedding in Kalispell the first week of August with a small group of family from both sides.  After all the activity and stress and ceremony and celebration dinner the young couple headed off and left the rest of us to enjoy the scenery.  My #1 son and I enjoyed a couple of Connie A's LAU JUN '18 as the sun set. Was the best cigar in the past 10 years - cake, butter and custard complemented by the orange from the Old Fashions my eldest was mixing for the group.

Padron Londres in maduro

This cigar was special for several reasons. The exchange in cigars helped solidify a friendship I've made on Discord. The Londres, as I understand, was discontinued in 2021. This one was aged 6 years. The vitola and draw were perfect; a straw of smoke that gave you exactly what you asked of it, full flavorful plumes.

Bunch of great smokes last month.   2021 N1 Maduro, RyJ Churchill (UEB OCT 17), Sir Winston (EOS OCT 18) and a CCE from an FOH sampler prize were standouts.   But, a HDM DC (GOB JUL 21) was a cut above of the rest.

From a 50 Cab BLT NOV 21. HDM Double Corona was a 98. My highest scoring cigar of all time. So glad there is 43 of them left.
